What causes Weather Fronts?

When a warm air mass and a cold mass meet that causes a weather front, and the warm air slides over the cold air. Warm air is lighter then cold air thats the reason that the warm air slides over cold air. Cold air masses in the area push in to warm air masses, it will often cause a rapid uplift in the warm air.

  2. and those tornadoes depending on how many fronts are meeting you will have an F1-F5 which will most likely be very destructive.

  3. I found out that cold fronts generally move from west to east, while warm fronts move poleward. Because of the greater density of air in their wake, cold fronts move faster than warm fronts.
